Ken Doherty and Robbie Keane have joined the star-studded line-up for the upcoming Irish Open Pro-Am at Mount Juliet.

In what is undoubtedly the highlight of the Irish golfing calendar, Keane and Doherty are late additions alongside Kerry legend Tomas O Se and Irish football legend Stephen Hunt.

The tournament kicks off next Thursday, 30 June but the stars will be out in force on Wednesday.

A number of other famous faces have been names to compete with John O'Shea, Rob Kearney, Joe Canning, Johnny Murtagh and Greg O'Shea among the sport stars set to tee it up.

Entrepreneur turned TV star Spencer Matthews will also be showing off his golfing skills, as too will actor James Nesbitt and Today FM broadcaster Dermot Whelan.

Golfing royalty will compete with world number one disability golfer Brendan Lawlor and LPGA Champion Leona Maguire.

The tournament itself will be headed by a number of top players including Open Champion Shane Lowry, the in form Seamus Power and three time major winner Padraig Harrington.

There will also be live entertainment with UK rock band Toploader performing on Wednesday, 29 June while Limerick band Hermitage Green will play on the Saturday.
