One lucky Irish Euromillions player will be waking up significantly wealthier on Wednesday morning after winning the top prize of €500,000 in Tuesday night’s Euromillions Plus draw.

The winning ticket was sold online and was the sole ticket to recoup the top prize of half a million euros, with 32 Irish players set to claim €2,000 and a further 1,811 players winning €20.

There was no winner of the Euromillions jackpot of €17 million as the biggest amount won by an Irish player in the main draw was €998, one of 34,000 players to win amounts ranging from €4 to €500,000 between the two draws.
