Gardaí have appealed for help tracing the whereabouts of a 79-year-old man who has been missing for over a day now.

Peter Bohan was last seen shortly before 1pm on Sunday, May 12 in Drumlish, County Longford.

Peter is described as being approximately five foot nine inches in height with a slim build, brown/grey hair and blue eyes. When last seen, Peter was wearing a blue knitted jumper, dark trousers and a dark baseball cap with a red peak.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone wth information on Peter’s whereabouts to make contact with them.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 79-year-old Peter Bohan who was last seen shortly before 1pm on Sunday 12 May in Drumlish, County Longford.”

They added: “Anyone with any information on Peter's whereabouts is asked to contact Longford Garda Station on 043-3350570, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
