BREAKING: Matt Lauer Has Been Terminated From ‘Today’ Following Sexual Harassment Claim
After two decades of being a staple when it comes to morning TV, Matt Lauer has been fired from Today following allegations that he sexually harassed a colleague. His co-anchor Savannah Guthrie confirmed the news on this morning’s broadcast alongside Hoda Kotb.
“Matt Lauer has been terminated from NBC News. On Monday night, we received a complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer,” a statement released by the network revealed. “As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment.”

The news comes just days after In Touch reported that he had intentions of leaving the show once his contract was up $25 million per year contract was up.
