On her Instagram bio, Jana listed herself as a “home remodeler.” She hasda definite interest in interior design, as she has posted photos of herself checking out everything from vintage furniture stores to Chip and Joanna Gaines‘ Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas.
Jana traveled for her work, which took her to Sin City in August 2021 for a design fair. She captioned several photos looking at various interior items like vases and candle holders, “Still dreaming of all the pretty things I saw at the Las Vegas Market! So much inspiration from designers and vendors from around the world!”
“Turning these wood scraps into something I can use for my next project!” she captioned a March 2022 Instagram post, which shows Jana sitting on the floor in jeans next to a pile of wood and some tools.
Jana and her brothers remodeled their parents’ bedroom, and during a 2023 trip to Los Angeles, she got to work remodeling sister Jinger Vuolo’s (née Duggar) closet.
“When [Jana] comes to town for a visit and you happen to mention your dream closet space … you end up at Lowe’s with piles of lumber,” Jinger shared via Instagram alongside photos of the sisters’ project. “Then she knocks the projects out in less than 24 hours and even teaches me how to install the shelving as well. SO. MUCH. FUN!!!”
Jana Has Turned to Family Farming
After taking a nearly two-year break from social media, Jana returned with a YouTube video on June 30, 2024, giving fans a “life update” and as well as “projects I’ve been working on.” She appeared to be living at the Duggar family compound in Tontitown, Arkansas.
The handywoman showed off how she cleared out her shed on the Duggar farm as she looked to remodel the space. Jana then showed off a number of baby animals including goats and chicks that were born in the spring, as well as a garden for growing food.
“Last year, [sister] Jo and I were talking about getting sheep and goats,” Jana revealed, adding the pair went to auction and bought “a whole truckload of them,” over video of Jana shearing a sheep.
Since she’s so skilled at design and construction, Jana helped come up with a fence design to keep the animals from eating their garden’s plants, and shared video of how she led the building process, including the amazing final product that surrounds the farmland for the animals.
Jana Duggar Made Money From Reality TV
Fans got to know Jana on the Duggar family’s original TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting, which aired from 2008 through 2015. She then appeared with her sisters on the spinoff Counting On from 2015 through 2020.
