Princess Charlotte Is Being a Sweet Little Helper for Her Mom Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton has a very special member of the family playing nurse as she recovers and rests during her cancer treatments. According to a source close to the family, Princess Charlotte is playing a sweet role and helping to look after her mother. Although there haven't been many details about Kate and what sort of treatments she's receiving, she did say that she has both good and bad days in a sweet message she shared before this year's Trooping the Colour. Royal biographer Ingrid Seward told The Mirror that Charlotte is "protective" over her mother and is "taking care" of her, giving royal fans a sweet insight into what could be happening at Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall.

"I think that Charlotte is really taking care of her mum," Seward shared. "It was quite sweet the way she [Charlotte] stood in front of her [on the Buckingham Palace balcony] and they kept chatting. Charlotte seems to be very full of admiration for her mother, which I think is a lovely thing, too."

Seward compared Kate and Charlotte's relationship to the one Kate shares with her own mother, saying that she's continuing her family's sweet tradition of a close-knit bond between mother and daughter.

"Kate and Charlotte are great friends and I think to Kate, their bond is very precious," Seward finished. "The mother-daughter relationship is obviously particularly important to Kate because she has such a close relationship with her own mother."

In a sweet example of their mommy-and-me dynamic, Seward pointed out that while the duo was arriving at Trooping the Colour, Charlotte and Kate wiped down the carriage windows together so that they could wave to well-wishers. The balmy London weather made the glass foggy and together, they remedied what may have been a mini-disaster.

"Mother and daughter took to cleaning the windows so they could greet the royal fans," Seward said, noting that after Kate stopped wiping, "her dutiful daughter continues and cleans up the carriage’s main window for the two of them."
