Jennifer Lopez Paired the Deepest V-Neck Dress With Ankle-Breaking Shoes

Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to sexy looks. Her Atlas press tour alone has seen both a skin-tight, floor-length skirt and a see-through sequined set. But for me, one look took the cake: Her ruffled Chloé cape that featured the highest slit and the deepest V. I mean this in the best way, it almost looked like something pulled from the cover of a pirate-themed romance novel. Consider me officially all-in on sheer ruffles. Of course, it’s not really a J.Lo look without a ridiculously tall heel, and this pair was an immediate add-to-cart. 

The actress wore a pair of nude Elie Saab heels that had a sky-high platform and a slingback strap, which is kind of a necessity for something that tall. A nude heel is always the perfect finishing touch for an all-white summer look, and I loved that these had some personality. Plus, the chunky heel and wide upper—which leaned a little boho—actually toned down the sexiness of the look. Yes, they’re something you could wear with a dress that’s cut up to your belly button, but they would also work with wide-leg jeans and a ruffled white blouse (the everyday version of Lopez’s look) and even more classic summer dresses.

I’m now set on adding that not-so-basic heeled sandal to my wardrobe, so I found eight lookalike styles, starting at $48.

Naturalizer Treasure Slingback Block-Heel Sandal

These now-$49 heeled sandals from Naturalizer give you those same wide straps that Lopez’s shoes have but with a more practical heel that shoppers say make them “easy to walk around in.” That same person reported that they wear the heels at least once a week, while a customer at Naturalizer said that they’re ready to add a second color to their collection because they’re “good looking, very comfortable,” and go with everything in their wardrobe.

Clarks Annadel Eirwyn Wedge Sandal

A chunky wedge just makes sense with those boho-style strappy details—honestly, at first glance, I thought Lopez was wearing a wedge—which is part of the reason why I’m eyeing Clark’s on-sale Annadel Eirwyn wedge sandals. They also happen to have the brand’s cushioned insole and more than 4,600 five-star ratings. “These shoes are insanely comfortable,” raved one fan, writing that they “wore them to work, walked to a restaurant for lunch, and then wore them to dinner the same night;” and when they got home, their feet felt totally fine. And per another customer, they’re even “comfortable enough for teachers.” That’s actually all I needed to hear. Sold! 

Chocolat Blu Giannis Platform Sandal

These platform sandals are more of a splurge, but given that they’re designed with real leather, I think they’re worth it. These don’t just have that ankle security and wide upper, but the platform and heel match those straps for the completely monochromatic look Lopez’s sandals had. It creates a sense of seamlessness that elevates the shoes and, honestly, I’d argue makes them look even more expensive.
