Dining deals: Sonic launches $1.99 menu

There’s some good news on the dining front for those looking for lunch with only a couple of bucks to spare. 

Sonic, the drive-in restaurant chain, has entered the fast food value wars with menu items coming in at under $2.

Unlike food deals announced this summer, it’s not a limited time offer.

Customers also can get half-price drinks and slushes any time, and half-price cheeseburgers on Tuesday nights when ordering in the Sonic app.
