Ex-US president says ruling is ‘big win for democracy’

The US Supreme Court found yesterday that Donald Trump cannot be prosecuted for any actions that were within his constitutional powers as US president, but can be for private acts.

It is a landmark ruling recognising, for the first time, any form of presidential immunity from prosecution.
