Newly discovered beetle with punk mohawk disguises itself as a blob of bird poo

It looked like a “hairy poo”, but on closer inspection a mysterious object found on a leaf in an Australian rainforest has turned out to be an entirely new species of bug.
Entomologist James Tweed was on a camping trip in the lush forests behind the Gold Coast of Queensland and had wandered off to clean his teeth when he spotted the strange object.
