Eavan Murray
As Western Correspondent for the Irish Independent, Eavan Murray oversees news coverage relating to the west of Ireland.A native of County Mayo, she spent most of her career working in Belfast and Dublin before returning home in 2017. Prior to her current role, Eavan worked as a Crime Correspondent for the Irish Sun.While working in Belfast for the Sunday World, she was shortlisted in three categories for the UK Young Journalist of the Year.Eavan has spent more than a decade reporting extensively on major Irish and international news stories.
