This summer I surprised myself by getting back into lip gloss. I liked the lightness, and the low maintenance element of wearing something sheer. Now that the temperature has (finally) dropped though, I find myself reaching for my matte lipsticks. There’s something about the boldness of its opacity that makes me feel dressed and ready for winter.
The thing about matte lipstick is that it’s not the easiest formula to wear. In fact, in some cases it’s a nightmare. It can be drying and uncomfortable and difficult to maintain as it clings to any dry areas on the lips. “But still you wear it?” I hear you ask. I do. I can’t help myself.
