The longest domestic rugby season in recent history is drawing to a close and I feel for the players. They must be starting to run on fumes.
Certainly this weekend we saw how hard it is for the fans to find the time and money to keep supporting their provinces with crowds in Thomond Park and the Aviva below what we would normally expect for regular season matches, never mind knock-out rugby.
