‘Jack Crowley has stepped up’ – Springbok legend Handré Pollard impressed by Ireland’s No 10

South Africa are hoping that Handré Pollard is the missing link and when you see the one of rugby’s coolest customers at close quarters you can understand why they’d be reassured by his presence.
Although he did come off the bench in the record 38-3 defeat in Dublin in 2017, Pollard missed the 2022 and 2023 defeats to Ireland with Damian Willemse and Manie Libbok both enduring difficult days off the tee.
