Michael Sadlier

Hugo Keenan 6

Leinster’s attack didn’t have the desired impact and he was never able to break into open country. Some important covering and produced a marvellous kick-chase forcing Ntamack’s error. Caught out on the touchline in extra time.

Jordan Larmour 7

That tackle on Lebel, what a moment. Became more influential as it went on; produced a take and break and a super take off Ramos too. Caught in a difficult place for the Lebel try.

Robbie Henshaw 6

Missed Byrne with a key pass, but two strong breaks followed, the latter saw him jackaled by the scrambling red-shirted defence. Turned on the power in the tense endgame and then couldn’t collect an extra time restart.

Jamie Osborne 5

Two involvements and six points coughed up but put an key tackle in on Costes. Was then pinged at the ruck following Sheehan’s big break. Forced a knock-on in a kick-chase but not that impactful.

James Lowe 5

Couldn’t get Gibson-Park in and lost the ball from another break. Charged down by Dupont but thought he had a try at the break. Gave the ball away as Leinster pushed for a score. Then the yellow card.

Ross Byrne 6

Clever cross-kick close to putting Sheehan away. Big error in putting ball out on the full and poor decision to chip on penalty advantage. Limping after a big hit and eventually went. Nailed his kicks though.

Jamison Gibson-Park 7

What a saving tackle on Dupont but then was picked off by Dupont on a couple of occasions. Marvellous take of a high ball take and mark under pressure. Produced a big tackle on Kinghorn.

Andrew Porter 7

Massive presence and only taken off in extra time before briefly returning. On top in the scrums as the game wore on. Big rumbles as well and won that late scrum penalty to tie it.

Dan Sheehan 6

Reverse pass to Lowe nearly worked then that leg pumping run after stealing from Dupont though it didn’t end well. Threw short for a key lineout and turned over as Leinster tried to get their maul going.

Tadhg Furlong 6

Carried close to the line in the early minutes when Leinster put the squeeze on and had to be sharp out on the flank in one scramble defence moment. Neat scrum half pass at one point.

Joe McCarthy 6

Was over but Jenkins had knocked on. Could only tap a lineout ball in the red zone. Helped win a maul turnover but then another defensive knock-on near his line. Great feet in another attack.

Jason Jenkins 5

The lock did well to collect a restart but knocked on as the pressure built on Toulouse. Looked in some trouble after Chocobares hit him when offside and he didn’t return after the break.

Ryan Baird 6

Called key lineouts on himself and won a high ball against Dupont. Bottled up the Toulouse scrum-half helping Leinster go down the pitch and ultimately get three. Was rightly pleased with his jackal on Kinghorn.

Will Connors 5

Not so much in terms of his trademark chops and breakdown presence as Leinster were on the back foot physically. The flanker didn’t last long after the restart making way for Van der Flier.

Caelan Doris 7

Emptied Ntamack in the lead up to Leinster’s first points but then Cros did likewise to the skipper. Also involved in a maul turnover while carried so hard into contact. Then that penalty concession in extra time.
