European Athletics Championships Day 6: All you need to know as Team Ireland aim to add to medal haul

Day six of the European Championships will be dominated by the evening session.

With no morning session, all eyes will turn to this evening at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome with Irish hopefuls involved in three finals.

First up at 8.05pm, the women’s team of Sophie Becker, Phil Healy, Lauren Cadden and Sharlene Mawdsley go for gold in the women’s 4x400m final after winning yesterday’s heat.

At 8.44pm, Brian Fay, Efrem Gidey, Peter Lynch, Cormac Dalton, Barry Keane will participate in the men’s 10,000m.

Finally, at 9.26pm, Andrew Coscoran will hope to finish in the medals in the men’s 1500 final.
