The Big Tech Show: The future of self-driving cars with the CEO of Provizio Barry Lunn

The Big Tech Show

What's going on with self-driving cars? What is the current status of the technology behind it? And can it be used in other ways?

On The Big Tech Show this week, Adrian is joined by Barry Lunn, the founder and CEO of Provizio, which is a Limerick based company best known for its technology around autonomous driving.

Lunn began by explaining the different levels of autonomous driving which go from zero to five. Level five is where the vehicle is in control of movements all the time and completely autonomous. Zero is when there is no driving automation in a vehicle.

When Adrian asked the Limerick man about the drop in EV car sales, the CEO said he wasn’t surprised. He says that once a product becomes commoditized, the price drops. He also spoke about the charging infrastructure anxiety as distinct from range anxiety because with a viable charging grid there would be no range anxiety.
