The Big Tech Show

Are you considering buying a fitness watch? What will do for the average person? And how much should you spend?

In today’s episode of The Big Tech Show, Adrian Weckler dives into the fitness wearables, watches, rings and trackers to find out what are the best options on the market.

On the show this week, Adrian speaks to fitness and wearables editor at TechRadar, Matt Evans.

Adrian began by asking Matt about how the Apple Watch compares to the likes of Garmin as a fitness device. Evans says the watch compares really well to the purer fitness brands and serves as a sort of ‘everything watch,’ that can hold boarding passes and has many fitness functions.

The fitness and wearables editor singled out Coros and Polar as watches that are in the mid-expensive price range. He also pointed out that Luxe and Fitbit are the budget options in the fitness tracker area which are very affordable, typically under €100.

In the fitness ring domain, Aura is the big player, but Samsung have mooted that they will release their Samsung Galaxy Ring in late 2024.
