Released in 1977, Bob Marley’s song Exodus is probably more likely to be encountered on Classic Hits than 2FM. But the title surely stands as a neat summation of recent events at the latter station: like other exoduses both historical and mythical, they’re leaving in their droves.

Three weeks ago, Doireann Garrihy announced she was quitting 2FM’s breakfast show, which she had co-hosted for five years. At the end of last week, we learned Garrihy’s predecessor in that early-morning slot, Jennifer Zamparelli, was finishing up with her own mid-morning show, bringing to a close 10 years at the station.
