‘It’s amazing how it gives your life balance’ – Interior designer to the elite Bryan O’Sullivan on balancing fatherhood and his jet-set lifestyle

It’s a family affair for jet-setting Kerry designer Bryan O’Sullivan, who’s just published a gorgeous, glossy coffee table book, and credits his international success to collaborating with his creative Kenmare clan — but most of all his husband and business partner, James O’Neill

“It’s the best thing that we’ve ever done.” Bryan O’Sullivan and I are chatting about his book — A New Glamour — a gorgeous hardback, full-colour record of some of the stunning projects completed by his design studio over the last 10 years. There are restaurants and private homes in London, Greece, New York; hotels in London, Paris, the French Riviera; names such as The Berkeley, Claridge’s, The Connaught. Each is unique and beautiful, showcasing O’Sullivan’s distinctive, intelligent, elegant contemporary style.

But excited as he is about the book — “It’s something I always wanted to do and it’s been a really nice way of capping off the first 10 years of the studio” — the “best thing” is actually his son, Cosmo, with husband James O’Neill.
