In an age where wellness fads proliferate, ice bathing has emerged as one of the more quixotic trends. From Ballyhaunis to Balbriggan, the ice bath has been embraced with zeal.

But does this chilly ritual actually deliver the goods? Proponents swear by it, claiming it reduces muscle soreness, speeds up recovery, and even boosts mood and energy levels.
