Lottery for places on a school bus in County Kildare leaves children with no transport
Parents of at least seven schoolchildren attending the local primary school in Crookstown, Co Kildare, have been left scrambling for ways to get their children to school after losing out in a lottery for places on a school bus.
A decision by Bus Éireann to hold a lottery for school bus places this year saw many children lose out, with parents forced to arrange alternative private transport to bring their children to school.
