“Papa,” four-year-old Ahana Singh whispered, barely able to speak. Her father Varun placed her head on his shoulder, the side of his face pressed against hers.
“What’s wrong?’ he asked, rubbing her back. “What’s wrong, Ahana?” But her body was limp and she was fading away.
