Farmers have many new terms and definitions to get to grips with in the new CAP
BISS scheme: Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) replaces the Basic Payment Scheme. It will provide a direct income support to farmers and is designed to underpin their continued sustainability and viability.
Support is allocated based on the size of a holding (the number of eligible hectares) and the number and value of entitlements held.
