The IFA has said farmers in the Cooley Peninsula who saw their flocks culled due to foot-and-mouth outbreaks are entitled to further compensation from the Department of Agriculture after it lost a key Supreme Court case on the matter in 2014.

On March 22, 2001, the case was confirmed in a sheep flock near Jenkinstown, Co Louth.
