A farmer who has been ordered by the High Court to remove a milking parlour he built without planning permission told the court the planning dispute has affected his mental health.

Patrick Furlong must cease milking operations by July 21, remove the parlour by September 19 and in the meantime his herd must be moved to another farm with “a lawful milking facility”, Mr Justice Garret Simons ruled last week.
