Former Mallow sugar factory site on sale for €2.2m
The country's last remaining sugar factory the plant at Mallow plant closed in 2006 after almost eight decades in operation, with the loss of more than 250 jobs.
Over 145 acres of land at the site of the former Mallow sugar factory is for sale with a price tag of €2.2m.
The sugar factory closed in 2006, the majority of the buildings have been removed and extensive remediation works were carried out for the restoration of the lands.
