This parcel of 15ac of tillage land at Foulksrath near Jenkinstown in Kilkenny made €380/ac at a leasing auction.
Land letting auctions have started even before the turn of the year and Joseph Coogan is off the blocks with a price of €380/ac paid for 15ac of tillage land at Foulksrath, Jenkinstown, Co Kilkenny.
The lands, which come without a water supply, attracted four active bidders, including three dairy farmers. While there is a strong demand for tillage land for maize , the successful bidder was a dairy farmer.
