With unrelenting rainfall hampering efforts to get grass into cows’ diet this spring, Kilkenny dairy farmer Paul Bowden is concerned about the level of ration feeding on his farm two weeks out from the breeding season.

Paul says the severity of the weather situation can clearly be seen when people switch from saying ‘look after the cows’ to looking after each other.
