Teagasc hosts its biannual beef open day at the Grange research farm on Wednesday, addressing a sector in flux and spotlighting the best systems for part-time beef farmers.

With the number of suckler-born calves plummeting by around 100,000 head in the past two years and an increasing share of beef now originating from the dairy herd, the industry is at a crossroads.
