Managing grass can be tricky – but it’s vital to get it right

One day you are short, then it's too strong… it's worth walking the whole farm every week at this time of year

The warm weather has really lifted the mood, and grass is jumping out of the ground. I have growth rates of 92kg DM/ha/day, and grass is getting out of control.

Managing grass can be very tricky. One day you seem to be short of it, yet in a week grass could be too strong. I am measuring on PastureBase, which I find very beneficial in helping make the right decisions about removing paddocks for silage and how much the farming is growing etc.
