With quotes for bullocks and heifers back another 5c/kg to €5.00/kg and €5.05/kg, one finisher summed up how many in the game are feeling.

“The price received by Irish farmers for beef fluctuates between three basic realities: you have either just been turned over, you are being turned over or you are about to be turned over,” he said, adding in plenty of industrial language.
