Tempers among farmers and finishers are fraying as factory quotes for beef continue to fall.
The general feeling of those with cattle to sell is, “the factories are doing it to us again” — a reference to the price pulls 12 months ago when finishers who had been encouraged by processors to buy forward stores in January and February were roasted as prices fell coming into May.
