An established pub in Athy, Co Kildare is to go for auction on July 11 and joint selling agents Jordan Auctioneers and John Younge are quoting a guide price of €850,000 for it.
Known as Market House on Emily Square, and best known as Andersons, it includes both a traditional-style public bar to the front of the property complemented by a sizeable lounge snug area.

The auctioneers say it enjoys a substantial trade divided between wet sales, off-license and some wholesale business and it offers huge potential for a new owner to further develop.
A terraced three-storey Georgian house, its two upper floors comprise residential accommodation. Cold room and stores on ground level benefit from rear access off Barrow Quay.
