Parents of ‘1 in 700,000’ quadruplets ‘shocked’ to welcome first-of-kind babies
A family in West Lothian have welcomed naturally-conceived quadruplets - a 1 in 700,000 rarity thought to be the first of its kind in the area of Scotland.
Rory, Harrison, Ben, and Noah weighed just three pounds each when they were born via a planned caesarean section at 30 weeks, with 20 medics involved in the operation.
“I just can’t wait to get home and be a nice wee family...or big family”, said dad, John Mitchell on GMB, who already has two children with his partner and mum to the newborns, Arlene.
There’s a 15 million to one chance the babies will be identical.
