Danny Phantom (2003)
Greatest Super Hero since Spiderman
I just realized this a couple of days ago, but Danny Fenton is the new "Peter Parker". Look at it this way: He's a high school student, a shy high school student who ends up getting super powers, much like spiderman. Both of them got their powers by pure accident. But Danny is so much cooler than that because he gets ghost powers. Nobody has done "ghost powers" for super heroes yet. Considering he's alive as well is pretty cool. It gives a whole new perspective of ghosts.
The show is also chock full of Hilarius and quotes you'd want to use over and over again.
"Dude, you are one totally crazed up fruit loop. That is never going to happen." Danny to Vlad Plasmyas in "Bitter Reunions".
Seriously, nobody until Danny Fenton has called anyone else a "fruit loop". That in itself is hilarious.
Some of the most recent episodes have put the bar so much higher, making the show one on my "must-see" list. According to some "invisible rules," apparently when I'm an adult, I can't watch cartoons anymore. That's what those rules are... invisible, so Danny Phantom is a show that I won't stop watching no matter how long it stays on the air.
Something about the show is extremely appealing and it's probably all about the hero. But he's also got a great support system-- his two best friends techno-geek Tucker and Gothic Sam-- who have their share of "saving Ghostboy's butt" when things look hopeless. Where would anyone in high school by without their friends?
I give this show 9.5 out of 10 because not even Danny Fenton/Phantom is perfect. (Like his name... who wouldn't figure that Fenton and Phantom are the same person right away?)
