The Batman (2022)
Was there a movie on that screen?
It must have been easier and cheaper to shoot a movie so dark that the audience can't actually see it.
Pattison didn't do anything to wow in here, His performance in Tenant was a big step to dispel the notion of him being one dimensional, but this movie has set him back.
Very disappointing.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Disappointing
Awful sound editing left me wishing for subtitles. Heavy reliance that people will either have watched the trilogy again before viewing or possess a fantastic memory to link all the callbacks. Plot is very thin and the visuals are nothing special.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019)
Wow
Nostalgic . Don't be a hater, relive some old time glory.... btw I feel really old after watching this. but not kilmar old.
Lucifer (2016)
What a comeback
I really enjoyed the first season and the second was decent also, however that third season just suffered from too many episodes and effectively the network sunk a great product. I was delighted to hear Netflix picked up the show for season 4, the storyline was excellent and the shorter run done a lot for it. Whoever made the call in Netflix to renew this deserves a pat on the back or a raise.
Just a side note, Lucifer has always had a good soundtrack with excellent music choices but Season 4 killed it. Lesley-ann Brandt......wow
Yesterday (2019)
Watchable
Cute little movie with plenty of familiar songs from the Beatles. Unfortunately Kate McKinnon has way too much screen time.
Play or Die (2019)
Boring, obvious, stupid.
This reminds me of a high school students attempt at writing a story after watching a few movies that are clearly borrowed from. I only watched it because I thought it was something else and slipped through the last 25mins.
The Happytime Murders (2018)
I wanted it to be good
But it wasn't. Melissa McCarthy is in it. enough said.
Ghostbusters (2016)
I wouldn't watch this cra*
Didn't see this, won't watch it, felt it necessary to score it on the basis that the premise is B.S.... also melissa mccarthy and Kate McKinnon.... awful
CHIPS (2017)
Entertaining comedy
All too often people like to rag on movies like this. Not every movie to hit the cinema will be Oscar worthy, Not every movie will be written with a story that will move you to tears or challenge your thinking. Set your expectations for the movie you will see and you are less likely to be disappointed.
Chips is an entertaining cop buddy flick, rated R and has some adult humor. Both Pena and Shepard play their parts well and along the way the movie pokes fun at itself and the genre. There are plenty of laughs to be had here and overall the movie went at a steady pace. There is nothing ground breaking in it but I wanted a laugh, I got a laugh. Hopefully it does well enough at the box office to get a sequel.
