The Creator (2023)
The only reason to watch this is for the special effects
(2023) The Creator
SCIENCE-FICTION ACTION
Co-written and directed by Gareth Edwards with the set that is reminiscent of other movies such as "Blade Runner", "AI" "The Phantom Menace" because of the robots, "Total Recall", "The Fifth Element" and "Elysium" among other movies. The time takes place several years into the future when AI robots are being used constantly until one of them activated a nuclear explosion, changing the perception to blanket the entire AI race to be eliminated. And to make a law to track and destroy all AI robots.
The opening then has Joshua Taylor (John David Washington) spending quality time with his love interest, Maya (Gemma Chan) who is expecting in a somewhat private island or resort until she discovers he was undercover who's main objective is to find, locate and then destroy Nirmata. She then runs away while other AI officers are shooting at other resistance fighters and AI robots to a boat while he continues to go after her and pleading his case. Nomad, a space station of some sort from the sky who scouts the area then drops a huge warhead to the ocean, knocking Joshua out. The movie then jumps 5 or 5 months later, and we find out it was a the nightmarish dream he could not shake off his head, and is still scarred with the fact that Nomad did not listen to him when he asked them to hold off firing one of their missiles. And that Sgt Joshua Taylor had not been active since presuming his love interest had been caught in the blast. He then gets a visit from General Andrews and Colonel Howell (Allison Janney) making attempts to change his mind, and they do this by showing indications that his wife, Maya may in fact still be alive. The objective is to track Nirmata so that it could it to Alpha O the weapon used to destroy Nomad. Sgt Joshua agrees but only if he left in charge. Things happen that resulted to many humans/ cyborgs and AI robots being killed we find out there's a little child who may know the whereabouts of Joshua's wife and could be the key to destroying Nomad.
Legend of the Lost (1957)
Forgetable but still watchable
(1957) Legend of the Lost
ADVENTURE/ DRAMA
Co-produced and directed by Henry Hathaway the second of six movies, John Wayne has collaborated together. The combination of several movies including "Lawrence of Arabia", "The Treasure of Sierra Madre", "King Solomon's Mines", and the stepping stone for the future movie they had done together called "True Grit". The set up has wealthy baron, Paul Bonnard (Rossano Brazzi) seeking for a professional guide in search for his dad and some supposed treasure deep in the Sahara desert. And it is not long before he crosses with a gypsy, Dita (Sophia Loren) attempting to steal his pocket watch. Because Paul has taken a liking to her, he decides not to charge her for it as well as gives her his pocket watch. She in return thanks him by the nice gesture by returning his wallet. Meanwhile the head of the foreign legion, Dukas (Kurt Kasznar) who is easily swayed by money then seeks to find a drunk, Joe January (John Wayne) attempting to sway him to be Paul's guide in exchange for the money he owes him. Although, he accepts the job, he also insists Dita does not come along with them, but of course, she eventually does because she is Sophia Loren.
My second viewing after so many years, and although forgettable some of his sarcastic persona has been echoed to his character in "True Grit" also about a young lady employing the services of a US marshal. Some of the scenes of the Sahara desert are gorgeous to look at, but 3/4 of the way is when the movie kind of lost me, that left me asking questions, some of which regards the treasure.

Blood on the Moon (1948)
Complicated western with complex personalities
(1948) Blood on the Moon
WESTERN
Adapted by Luke Short's Saturday Evening Post serial story that has Jim Garry (Robert Mitchum) camping until a herd of rustling cattle came wrecking his spot. He is then confronted by cattle rancher, Bart (Robert Bray) who would then ride him back to his own camp where he is introduced to the owner of the cattle, John Lufton (Tom Tully) and his foreman, Cap Willis (Bud Osborne). We learn more about Jim as he is originally from Texas and not from around the area. And because none of them ever saw him before, they were not sure whether he can be trusted or not. At the same time, John said he would replace everything Jim Garry had lost as a result of his herd with a promise he would leave on the following morning. And before Jim Garry leaves, John then asks him to hand over a note to his ranch until someone was shooting at him. We find out later by the time he reaches to the John Lufton's ranch, that the lady who was shooting at him happens to be one of his two daughters, Amy (Barbara Bel Geddes) with his older daughter, Carol Lufton (Phyllis Thaxter).
Midnight Mary (1933)
Some scenes did not make much sense but still watchable
(1933) Midnight Mary
CRIME DRAMA
Adapted from the story by Anita Loos that opens with Mary (Loretta Young) waiting for prosecution and while she was waiting inside of a judge's office, upon looking at the year of the law books, viewers then get to see how it all lead up to that shown in flashbacks. From the time she was poor and unable to find a job until gangsters, Leo (Ricardo Cortez) and Angelo (Warren Hymer) pick up her and her best friend Bunny (Una Merkel) to hang out with them. Every time Mary tries to leave the gangster life, she is then pulled back in after unsuccessfully finding decent employment. It is not until she meets a successful and an already married young man, Tom Manning (Franchot Tone) is when she is geared to be attached to him. Creating a conflicted rift between Mary and the gangsters intentions.
It is just outdated with some scenes that did not make much sense that needed explanation such as when Leo handed her a 50 dollar bill, instead of using it find work and so forth, she would then give it away. Made during the pre-code era when censor boards were involve with what is allowed to shown on screen, so at times it makes sense even though it does nothing to the story.
Across to Singapore (1928)
Well made and somewhat accurate in terms of the times
(1928) Across to Singapore
SILENT
ADVENTURE/ ROMANTIC
Adapted from the book by Ben Ames Williams produced and directed by William Nigh that has Joel Shore (Ramon Novarro) is and has always been in love with Priscilla Crowninshield (Joan Crawford) for a long time since they were children. By the time the oldest and strongest brother, Capt. Mark Shore (Ernest Torrence) returns home from the sea, he is greeted by two other brothers and his youngest brother, Joel. And his dad, Jeremiah Shore (Frank Currier). Because Mark takes a liking to Priscilla as well, he asks her father, Joshua Croninshield (Edward Connelly) for his daughter's hand in marriage. It is obvious, Priscilla is in love with the youngest brother, Joel of the Shore family, but her dad already consented to his oldest brother Mark.
Made during the time when women did not have a choice who they want to marry. The movie is also reminiscent to other movies that has a similar theme.
Anatomie d'une chute (2023)
It is perhaps not the most criminal trials I had seen perahps an understanding one

PSYCHOLOGICAL MYSTERY
Co-written and directed by Justine Triet that has writer and novelist, Sandra Voyter (Sandra Hüller) discussing with a friend, until her husband, Samuel Maleski (Samuel Theis) pumps up the music from upstairs, disrupting the meeting forcing the meeting short. During this was happening, the couple's son, Daniel (Milo Machado-Graner) taking his dog, Snoop for a walk. And by the time he finishes his walk and is heading back home is when he sees his dad already lying on the ground, screaming for his mom and calling for help. During the autopsy, it turned out that the father may have been hit or something that he jumped on his own.
I had high expectations on this movie, and the one I thought I was much more effective but did not garner the same success is "Smilla's Sense of Smell"
Hanyo (1960)
The last few minutes toned it down a little despite the soap opera chaos
(1960) The Housemaid
)In South Korean with English subtitles)
THRILLER/ PSYCHOLOGICAL.
Written and directed by Kim Ki-young, that has young female student, Kyyung -hee Cho ( Aeng-ran Eom) getting another former student in trouble and then managing to get her remove from the factory by piano teacher for a factory, Dong-sik Kim ( Jin Kyu Kim) as a result of a misunderstanding of a note. We then know more about the piano teacher's family as we see the daughter, Ae-soon Kim (Yoo-ri Lee) who is on clutches getting teased by her younger brother, Chang-soon Kim (Sung-kee Ahn) and during a remodeling of their new home. All is okay, until Dong-sik Kim's wife, (Jeung-nyeo Ju) spots a rat inside the cupboard upon putting some things away, giving her a small panic attack. During this time, the young student, Kyyung -hee Cho who had a crush to her piano teacher, Dong-sik Kim came over to learn how to play a piano better. And while the wife is resting she hints for her husband to get themselves a housemaid. During the piano lessons, Dong-sik Kim then ask the female student Kyyung -hee Cho if she could find a housemaid for the family since his wife has a mental relapse. And just as he is coming home the following day making dinner for the family, he also buys some rat poison for the intention was to kill the rat that gave his a mental relapse. And it was also during that time, the piano student, Kyung-hee Cho manages to convince another peer to agree to be the housemaid for the Kim family household her name name is Myung-sook (Eun-shim Lee)
There are too many things that happened, all because of that one single extra-marital affair with a housemaid, when it was one of he female student who had a crush with a married man all along. Pure soap opera material combined with the customs of South Korea does not let go until the very end. The unbelievable thing is that it almost happened during the course of the same week or the same month. If it was not for the last five minute segment at the end that is reminiscent to the end of 1956 "The Bad Seed" I don't think I'd like this movie as much.
Cérémonie d'amour (1987)
Boring and is only intentened to the fans of the author the movie is based on

PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA/ MYTH
Adapted from the novel by André Pieyre de Mandiargues co-written and directed by Walerian Borowczyk that has clothing buyer, Hugo Arnold (Mathieu Carrière) becoming infatuated with a prostitute, Miriam Gwen (Marina Pierro) after sitting next to her at a bus while she was fixing her face with makeup and a small mirror. And for a certain time, we hear Hugo's narration, and then by the time he convinces her to make out with him, she then leads him to a mysterious boudoir/ private sitting room.
At first, she becomes his subservient to his advances by allowing him to tie her up from behind and so forth. But then we then hear about what she says about him, that leads to baffling results, and an ending that makes no sense whatsoever.
The best way to describe this is that this is a no plot mythical movie to which I easily dozed off that makes less sense even by the time the movie is over. Viewers expect see any eroticism won't expect to get it from here as the lady, Hugo makes out with, while he is fully nude she on the hand is wearing a nightie with quick glimpses of her vagina that may or may not be hers as the make out scene was filmed behind a glass door.
99 Moons (2022)

ADULT DRAMA
Written and directed by Jan Gassmann that opens with a defenseless woman that looked like she was being attacked by a man wearing a mask in an underground bridge. And as it turned out it was nothing but play acting or foreplay by the woman herself, Bigma (Valentina Di Pace) to which she gets turned on if someone were to attack her. And because no money was exchanged it may be one of those online hook up requests. She then drops him off as we witness Frank's (Dominik Fellmann) daily routine is like where he interacts with other people while she is at an office trying to compete with other members for sponsor money and wins after her presentation. The next thing we know, he either pursues her and vice versa. To which when Bigma tried the same playacting at the opening but this time with some other person, it was not the same thing. When Frank succeeds into finding out where she works and so forth, she then returns the favor. This is not like any relationship movie for it after the hour mark, we find out she is an already married woman searching for a bad boy to help her relieve some of her fantasies. Will she stay with her faithful, successful husband, Georg Huber (Danny Exnar)!
I tried watching this movie until it got to the scene where they both decided to ditch from paying for their meal! I thought that was too cliche and corny since Bigma was supposed to be the wealthy one who should be able to afford to pay for it after that grant. I have no idea what Frank does for a living, for on one scene, it is presumed he works at a club or at a bar, the next thing we know he is a waiter. The entire movie meanders like that to which if she is actually somewhat supposedly be an upper class scientist, the movie does not do a very good showing it.
Huang mian lao hu (1974)
As a chop socky movie it was still better than most chop socky movies released during that time
(1974) Slaughter in San Francisco/ Yellow Faced Tiger
DUBBED
MARTIAL ARTS ACTION
You can tell this was intended for Bruce Lee to star on if it was not for his unfortunate passing as the movie was produced by Golden Harvest. And since this was the second starring Chuck Norris movie he has ever made before he began starring in his own movies, it was presumed Golden Harvest are able to capitalize on Chuck Norris's success by it's re-release for the US even though he was not the main lead. It may appear by looking at the poster "Slaughter in San Francisco" that he is the lead but as soon you watch it, Chuck Norris continued his role as the main baddie as in "Return of the Dragon", the main difference between the two movies is that he is given more on screen presence on this one than his minuscule role on "Return of the Dragon" . The one thing Return of the Dragon has for it, is that the Colosseum fight or fights overall are better, in Slaughter although there were many fight scenes viewers are able to tell they were hardly touched, and pretended they were hit.
Written and directed by Wei Lo the director of two Bruce Lee movies of "The Way of the Dragon"/ The Big Boss/ Fists of Fury" and "The Chinese Connection", it centers on Chinese cop, Officer Don Wong (Don Wong) doing the rounds with his African American partner, Officer John Summer (Robert Jones) doing the rounds. Until they both stumble onto Sylvia Chew (Sylvia Chang) who appear to look like she was being attacked by two men. A fight ensures and upon them bringing them in, Sylvia then denies that the assault ever happened, forcing the captain, Newman (Daniel Ivan) to let them go.
We then see John spending time with his wife, Diane Summer and after they both drop their son to school, they were then interrupted by a U-Haul moving truck, blocking their root of passage. A group of men then call John over, only so they can kidnap him. The first person Diane calls is his best friend and partner, Don. And he gets over there as fast as he can while riding on his motorbike. By the time he spots the moving truck, parked next to a beach, it would then lead to him taking on a bunch of thugs, leaves the question why they were ganging up on him and not on Don. We then see Don losing his police officer's job over this scuffle, fired by his captain, before we then see him as a waiter working at a Chinese restaurant. All is okay, since although the customers are quite rude, he said to his friend John, he does not mind the tips. And then after a round of drinking with together and leaving the bar they both go on their merry way. Except that he stumbles onto a robbery that includes using a manhole and instead of calling for backup, he would then decide to confront them himself.
All these convoluted scenarios is only intended to show martial art scenes that does not rival with the Bruce Lee films who was still popular way after his untimely death. Forcing studios to find another Bruce Lee substitute from Jackie Chan to Bruce Li or Bruce Lai to Jimmy Wang Yu. It was not until Yuen Woo Ping/ Jackie Chan revolutionized how fight films are made by allowing the fights to be hit for real, subjecting them with a little comedy. Jackie Chan then took a step further by allowing stunts into his films after doing the "Cannonball Run" movies. Anyways, from the time the movie was made back in 1974 the second starring Chuck Norris movie credit, this is not bad as it still consisted more action and interesting fights than the average chop socky film made during that time, presuming it was intended for another Bruce Lee movie Chinese/ US crossover had he lived.
Red Light (1949)
Not one of Roy De Ruth's best
(1949) Red Light
CRIME DRAMA
Adapted from the story ""This Guy Gideon" by Donald Barry produced and directed by Roy De Ruth. It has prison inmates of Nick Cherney (Raymond Burr) and Rocky (Henry Morgan) watching news reel of some returning war vets by plane returning home. And it happens to be Torno trucking owner, John Torno (George Raft) greeting his little bother, Jess Torno (Arthur Franz) after serving the army. And because Rocky is standing beside him and is getting out of prison before Nick, he then offers to do him a favor. Meanwhile, while at home in San Francisco, we then see John's brother, Jess as a pasture and he is given a gift from him, and then upon John agreeing on a particular time to pick Jess up, while he was packing in his hotel room,, he then gets shot by an intruder who mentioned Nick's name. And before Jess dies on john's arms, he tries to get him to tell him the name of the intruder who shot him. And Jess tells John to look inside the bible.
The Locket (1946)
Interesting gimmick but leaves with some unanswered questions
(1946) The Locket
PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER DRAMA
It opens with a couple getting ready to get married, by the name of Nancy (Laraine Day) and John Willis (Gene Raymond). And by the time John was getting ready with the nuptials, he was then informed by the butler someone was waiting to talk to him at his office. It is then he meets. Dr. Harry Blair (Brian Aherne) who claims he was Nancy's husband. And of course, this catches John a complete surprise and tests him how well he knows her. And when he answers the questions correctly, he then decides to let D. Harry Blair tell his story who was not the first person Nancy had been seeing. Her first love interest was an art teacher, Clyde (Robert Mitchum) and as the movie is progressing, it turned out she has a small problem. The problem existed may have stemmed when she was a young child.
Interesting gimmick of a story on top of another story to which is the gimmick is more interesting than structure of the story itself in which the ending is too much of a coincidence.
Ossos (1997)
If I had to read other interprentations about what the movie is about would not make the grade
(1997) Ossos/ Bones
(In Portuguese with English subtitles)
DRAMA/ SOCIAL COMMENTARY
Produced, written and directed by Pedro Costa, the first of three "Fontainhas" trilogy that centers on two adult sisters of Clotilde (Vanda Duarte) who has a daughter, Maura of her own, who at times lives with her sister, Tina (Mariya Lipkina) who has suicidal tendencies both sometimes cook or work as cleaning ladies. Tina unwillingly gives up her baby to her deadbeat and struggling father, (Nuno Vaz). The father eventually comes across a kind nurse, Eduarda Gomes (Isabel Ruth) who eventually helps the father and the mother Tina with her salary.
Expressionless and emotionless movie that is reminiscent to Carl Theodor Dreyer and Theodoros Angelopoulos to Aki Kaurismäki to name a few.
The Revengers (1972)
A combination of many films
(1972) The Revengers
WESTERN
Rancher, John Benedict (William Holden) entire family massacred by Comancheroes stealing his horses and he seeks retribution to the person Tarp (Warren Vanders). He does by attending to a Mexican prison camp, and employs the services of some unflattering possible killers and outlaws who broke the law but at the same time good at what they do. He does this with the help of an interpreter, Cholo (Jorge Martinez de Hoyos) and his knowledge of who's who. An African American, Job (Woody Strode); a climber, Quiberon (Roger Hanin); a German, Zweig (Rene Koldehoff); an assassin named El Chamaco (Jorge Luke) an American who knows John Benedict is looking for, by the name of William P Hoop or Bill for short played by Ernest Borgnine third movie both starred together.
Reminiscent to "The Magnificent Seven", and "The Dirty Dozen" to "The Comancheroes" with an unexpected ending.
Las viboras cambian de piel (1974)
Already forgot about watching this
(1974) Guns and Guts/ Las viboras cambian de piel
DUBBED
SPAGHETTI WESTERN
Co-produced and directed by René Cardona Jr. That consists of two bearded men (Pedro Armendáriz Jr. And Rogelio Guerra) beating up some men and after the same man. And along the way they would soon come across a playboy (Jorge Rivero) who has a way with the ladies, and after a misunderstanding he eventually tags along. And by the time all three reaches to the next town, it turned out he also happens to be a professional hired gunman. It turned out that man the two bearded men were after happens to be a sheriff or authority figure of another town of town's prison.
"Guns and Guts" consists of remnants of "For A Few Dollars More" with the ending that is reminiscent of "The Dirty Dozen". There is like a single full frontal nude scene moment, and it was part of the failed comedic routine. And the revelation is that one single person the bearded men wanted to kill, one of them is related to him while the other was double crossed. Another movie quickie fail with not much to show for it.
Io monaca... per tre carogne e sette peccatrici (1972)
Somewhat watchable but inconsistent sleaze
(1972) The Big Bust-Out/ Io monaca... per tre carogne e sette peccatrici
DUBBED
Italian sleaze movie to which the dubbed American version is 20 minutes shorter, the version I saw had a running time of 1hour and 10 minutes.
Upon reading the synopsis, it says 7 different women escaped, but it is like upon watching it, it was sometimes 7 and sometimes 8 different women who managed to escape- first away from authorities/ prison, and then from a human trafficker named Bob. Co-written and directed by Richard Jackson aka Ernst Ritter von Theumer that opens with a group of women selected from a middle eastern and Arabian women's prison to help and aid a nun, Sister Maria (Monica Teuber). And while the army was there, some of the guards take advantage of the situation by attempting to assault some of the women. It was at that point, they would then steal their weapons and escape to a human trafficker, )Bob (William Berger). And while the women are bathing naked in the gigantic bath pool, they are then taken hostage before they manage to escape again. And this time, the escaped women manage to be helped and supported by an idealist, Jeff Robinson (Tony Kendall). To which he promises them to lead them across the border, and during their journey he builds the most rapport with a young escapee, Inga (Nuccia Cardinali).
As I had mentioned earlier, some parts of the movie is inconsistent where, there were scenes where there were 7 different women escaping and then their were other times there were eight. Other examples, is when some of the women were heavily armed and then the next thing we know only one of them had a machine gun on them. And although their is plenty of nudity, it was non erotic nor did I think the women were attractive. The ending was one of the most inconsistent where viewers are given the presumption Bob was just after the money and then went nuts! Go figure!
No Questions Asked (1951)
Fascinating way to look at insurance
(1951) No Questions Asked
CRIME DRAMA
Steve Keiver (Barry Sullivan) is a popular insurance salesman, and as soon as it was revealed that the insurance company would have saved a lot of money had they made an offer to the thieves themselves a specific amount of money to get the items back as opposed to paying the victims. The insurance company would be saving a lot of money with Steve himself acting as a middle man making an offer of "No questions asked!" hence the title! At the same time, he also has a problem with his love life between a former flame, Ellen Sayburn (Arlene Dahl) who married for money as opposed to the associate, Joan Brenson (Jean Hagen) who was in love with him.
The Woman on Pier 13 (1949)
Outdated and boring
(1949) The Woman on Pier 13/ I Married a Communist
THRILLER/ POLITICAL
Because the movie was so outdated, I was unable to grasp on the concept about what would make someone an Communist and what doesn't. Both the set up and the approach is reminiscent to the much superior Eliza Kazan's "On the Waterfront" made on 1954.
Brad Collins (Robert Ryan) and Nan Collins (Laraine Day) had just arrived married, until a magazine photographer, Christine Norman (Janis Carter) shows up and imposes her own intentions and business into the affairs of Brad. We find out both Brad and Christine used to be a couple, and that part of the reason he got the job in the first place as President of the union executive for a cargo ship comp. Was because it was set up the "Members of the Un-American Activity". And that Brad Collins actual name was Frank Johnson, a guy by the name of Vanning (Thomas Gomez) shows up claiming he was from the committee making some demands since Brad is union President with his friend, Jim Travis (Richard Rober) as vice president. Vanning then sends one of his goons, Bailey (William Talman) to fetch Brad just so he can inform him he was deducting a portion of his check to the party itself, as well as tell him that they can also pin a murder rap on him.
One of the things that makes this movie boring is the fact, viewers do not know what the demands the so-called Communist group want Christine and Brad to do! Was it for money or union derailment!
Midnight Run (1988)
Just as entertaining as Get Shorty
(1988) Midnight Run
COMEDY ACTION
Produced and directed by Martin Brest has bounty hunter, Jack Walsh (Robert DeNiro) agreed from his bondsman an assignment to find, locate and return him back to LA a possible witness, Jonathan Mardukas (Charles Grodin) also nicknamed "The Duke" we find out he is so sought after since he is a potential witness for the mob! The mob is after "The Duke" because he happen to have stolen money from a known mobster, Jimmy Serrano (Dennis Farina). Jack the bounty hunter would do it, but he'd do it for a $100,000, except that he first have to fund out where he is located and then bring him back to LA. It turns out he was living in NYC, but Jack has to go through so many hurdles such as the FBI led by Alonzo Mosely (Yaphet Kotto) , his rival and competitor, Marvin Dorfler (John Ashton) and the mobster.
The second or third time I had seen this, and it is quite entertaining reminiscent to "Get Shorty" because it involves several different characters, some much more amusing than others. Both Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin have great chemistry.
Save Me (1994)
Alter ego of Basic Instinct
(1994) Save Me
ADULT THRILLER/ MYSTERY
After the success of Basic Instinct. Release one year prior to this one, other companies came out that possess a similar theme.
It centers on businessman and separated, Jim Stevens (Harry Hamlin) entering into a boutique, when as soon as he spots Ellie (Lysette Anthony) wearing a piece of lingerie, he begins to notice her. When her spouse, Oliver (Michael Ironside) shows up and when Jim leaves, Elie and Oliver then leave soon after. But not when Ellie leaves a sticky note behind for him to look at! And upon looking at the footnote, it says "Save me!" hence the title with her phone number written on it for him to call her. We find out Oliver is a professional and licensed shrink and he tries to convince him to not to believe everything she is telling him.
When I first saw this movie, I was a horny little teenager and did not pay too close attention to the movie and set up itself. But after re-watching it again after many years later, the movie is not half as bad, considering it is a little predictable with some twists.
The Others (2001)
A cross between "The Innocents" and "The Sixth Sense"
(2001) The Others
HORROR
Music, written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar that has a Governess and mother, Grace (Nicole Kidman) looking after her two children, Anne (Alakina Mann) and Nicolas (James Bentley) employing the services of a maid/ housekeeper, Mrs. Bertha Mills (Fionnula Flanagan) and gardener, Edmund Tuttle (Eric Sykes), and a mute girl named Lydia, (Elaine Cassidy) arrive. Each of them were given instructions not to let them have access to sunlight. When things end up being misplaced or moved around, to the mute girl conversing with her children is when grace start to get paranoid thoughts.
Hard Kill (2020)
Another quickie made movie with Bruce Willis name tagged on it
(2020) Hard Kill
ACTION
The set up has a young lady handing a device to someone before she is then held hostage against her will. We then see some flashbacks of Derek Miller (Jesse Metcalfe) the gulf war before he wakes up to attend to an appointment to see Dayton Chalmers (Bruce Willis) inside of a limousine, recommended by a former op, Nicolas Fox (Texas Battle). Derek would agree to accept the mission of retrieving a server and to seek retribution to guy who shot him in the back nicknamed "The Pardoner"(Sergio Rizzuto), presuming he is allowed to assemble his own team. He then goes to a bar and happens to see his entire team he had been looking for and also employs the services of Dash Hawkins (Swen Temmel),Sasha Zendel (Natalie Eva Marie), and Harrison (Jon Galanis) we find out later also happens to be Sasha's brother.
And the by the time they all show up at an abandoned factory, we then find out they were being set up and used as bait for a saving situation and to retrieve the gizmo called Project 725. The Pardner needs Dayton Chalmers because he has no idea how to deactivate the server without the access code and attempted to use his daughter, Eva Chalmers (Lala Kent) as a tool to get what he wants.
The movie drags as it continues to which some of the times they are ace shooters while at others they are not. And there are also some scenes when paint balls are used instead. What makes this movie watchable is Bruce Willis's presence which is not saying much.
A Day to Die (2022)
It is only the fourth act the studio looked like it ran out of money
(2022) A Day To Die
ACTION THRILLER
I do not hate this movie as much as the others, for it was involving until it got near the end and then it worsened after that! Bad acting does not bother me nor does the story line but the direction of that story is geared toward.
The set up regards a group of special ops being double crossed regarding a saving situation. That resulted to splitting the team up and each doing their own thing with Conner Connolly (Kevin Dillon) as a police officer when his parolee was on the run from a drug gangster, Tyrone Pettis (Leon). And just when one of his goons corners Conner's parolee, Conner is then forced to shoot him dead. But because the goon Conner killed was kind of an important person, Pettis felt he owed him as a result.
