Seven of the iconic queens from Season 16 of MTV’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” reunited on Monday, June 10 at an Emmy FYC event held at the Culver City Julian Dixon Library. Dawn, Mhi’Ya Iman Le’Paige, Morphine Love Dion, Q, Plane Jane, Sapphira Cristál and winner Nymphia Wind delivered a live performance of the inspirational song “Power” and then sat for a Q&a alongside executive producer Tom Campbell, senior producer/judge Michelle Visage and choreographer Jamal Sims, moderated by Variety’s Marc Malkin.
The funk-rock anthem “Power” debuted in the 10th episode, “Werq the World,” which aired March 8, 2024. Many viewers considered that group performance to be a highlight of this Sweet Sixteen season, with its important message during an election year being that we all collectively “have the power.”

Paramount made the smart to hold this massive event at a Culver City, California public library for both tongue-in-cheek (“the library is open”) and political (the unwarranted attacks on drag queen-led story hours) reasons.
