Spoilers for "Deadpool & Wolverine" follow.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" is a road trip buddy comedy through the multiverse, where Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) meets many variants of himself. One especially weird member of the Deadpool Corps is Headpool, an undead head from the "Marvel Zombies" universe (he gets around by wearing an automated propeller head). Headpool's voice actor is none other than Nathan Fillion, beloved in geek circles for playing Captain Mal Reynolds on "Firefly" and known outside of them for "Castle."
During the 2000s, Fillion was one of nerds' favorite fancasts to star in a superhero movie -- particularly "Green Lantern," a role that instead went to a pre-"Deadpool" Reynolds. (Fillion settled for voicing Hal Jordan in some animated DC movies.)
While he's not the superhero star his fans wanted him to be, Fillion has popped up in the MCU — three times before playing Headpool, in fact. He...

Joan Jett may not give a damn about her reputation but the cast of Freaks and Geeks better fully realize that of the short-lived cult series. And by and large, they do. Really, how can anyone deny the impact that the Paul Feig-created and Judd Apatow-produced dramedy had on the careers of Linda Cardellini, James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, John Francis Daley, Samm Levine, Martin Starr, and Busy Phillipps? Yeah, it was that stacked of a cast before we even knew it.
One who continues to be reminded of just how impactful Freaks and Geeks was is Seth Rogen, who played “freak” stoner Ken. As he told Entertainment Tonight, “I still am good friends with a lot of the people that were on the show. People kept watching it — I meet teenagers all the time who come up to me and say they love the show.” You...

Has this been the longest wait in history, or what?
Ok, Euphoria fans have something to say about that, I’m sure. But for those of us who fell in love with Sylvester Stallone’s mafia man and fish-out-of-water Dwight Manfredi, it’s been far too long.
The wait is almost over as today Paramount+ announced that the highly anticipated second season of the hit original series Tulsa King, starring Oscar nominee Stallone, will premiere on Sunday, September 15, in the U.S. and Canada.
Paramount+ international markets will have to wait a little longer, beginning on Monday, September 16.

Just when he thought he was out, they pulled him back in.
Emmy-winning writer Terence Winter is returning to Tulsa King.
The Sopranos veteran is back on board the Paramount+ drama after being the showrunner of its 2022 debut season. The series follows a former mobster, played by Sylvester Stallone, who forms a new crime empire in Oklahoma.
Winter and Tulsa King‘s creator and executive producer Taylor Sheridan famously conflicted about the creative direction of the series. After Winter stepped away, the big question became who was going to take over his gig, given Sheridan’s self-professed preference for remaining hands-on with his shows. Stallone, likewise, has firm opinions about the writing in his projects — having written and co-written the screenplays for many of his hit films over the years — and claims some of the show’s dialogue was his own creation.

CBS has had a lot of luck with its Yellowstone rollout, even though the series has been on for years and is available in full on Peacock.
It’s no wonder they’re looking to Taylor Sheridan and Sylvester to bolster their summer programming with a broadcast rollout of Tulsa King.
Tulsa King gives Yellowstone a run for the money when it comes to content the profanity. As we know, Federal law prohibits obscene, indecent, and profane content from being broadcast on the radio or TV.
Will that stop people from tuning into the broadcast version of Tulsa King on CBS?
Doubtful. And why would it? What you don’t know, you don’t know.
And there are plenty of people who prefer their dramas to be more watered down, and airing them on CBS gives many different kinds of viewers to see programming they wouldn’t otherwise.

The first season of Taylor Sheridan’s “Tulsa King” is set to make its broadcast debut this summer, airing on CBS ahead of the Paramount+ release of Season 2.
This isn’t the first time Paramount Global is bringing a Sheridan streaming series over to its broadcaster: The network has seen major success by bringing “Yellowstone” from the Paramount Network to CBS. The first episode reached 6.6 million viewers, and as Variety exclusively reported, 50% of those viewers had never seen the show before. The CBS debut also drove some wins back to streaming — though on NBCUniversal-owned Peacock, which owns the “Yellowstone” rights — where Variety reported that viewership increased by 26% over a 10-day period. But with “Tulsa King,” all viewership bumps will remain in-house for Paramount.
Per the company, “Tulsa King” is the second-most-watched series on Paramount+, following only Sheridan’s “1923.”

Following the successful run of Yellowstone on CBS, another Taylor Sheridan series is getting a lineaer window on the linear network. The popular original Paramount+ drama Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone, will make its broadcast debut on CBS this summer. The series’ first season will air on the network ahead of Season 2 launching this fall exclusively on Paramount+.
The stunt is part of the ongoing efforts by Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS, Paramount+ and Yellowstone and Tulsa King studio MTV Entertainment Studios, to expose its content to new audiences on other platforms.
Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish addressed the move on the company’s earnings call Wednesday.
“We’re going to run the first season of Tulsa on CBS prior to the 2nd season of Tulsa dropping on Paramount+, really using it as a broad marketing engine,” he said. “As you know, we did a variant of that...

If you haven’t been following him on Twitter, David Krumholtz has been one of the very few reasons to stay up to date on the happenings of that godforsaken site, sharing gloriously told tales of his time in Hollywood. The Oppenheimer actor’s next feature, Bob Byington’s comedy Lousy Carter, will now arrive this March, which finds him leading an ensemble also including Martin Starr, Olivia Thirlby, Jocelyn DeBoer, Luxy Banner, and Stephen Root. Ahead of the March 29 release, Magnolia Pictures have now released the first trailer and poster.
Here’s the synopsis: “In Lousy Carter, David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer) stars as a ne’er-do-well literature professor adrift on a soulless college campus who learns he only has six months to live. With the clock ticking, will he change his ways? Probably not. Auteur writer/director Bob Byington’s slyly subversive comedy also features comedy all-stars Martin Starr, Olivia Thirlby,...

"Even my therapist is fed up." Magnolia Pictures has revealed an official trailer for an indie comedy titled Lousy Carter, the latest indie film from auteur filmmaker Bob Byington. This originally premiered at the 2023 Locarno Film Festival last year, and it also played at the Philadelphia and Montclair Film Festivals. The film stars Oppenheimer's stand out actor David Krumholtz in a lead role as a very "lousy" guy at a university who is suddenly told he has six months left to live. So he goes off on everyone around him. Man-baby Lousy Carter struggles to complete his animated Nabokov adaptation, teaches a graduate seminar on Gatsby, and sleeps with his best friend's wife. He has six months to live. The film also features comedy all-stars Martin Starr, Olivia Thirlby, Jocelyn DeBoer, Macon Blair, and Stephen Root. This opens in March in theaters and on VOD for everyone to enjoy. This...
