Actor and executive producer Matt Bomer has earned his second Emmy nomination, this time for his role as the lovelorn State Department official Hawk Fuller on Showtime’s Fellow Travelers.
Created by Ron Nyswaner, based on Thomas Mallon’s novel, Fellow Travelers is a love story and political thriller, chronicling the clandestine romance of two very different men who meet in the shadow of McCarthy-era Washington. Bomer plays Fuller, a man with a successful career in politics who generally avoids emotional entanglements — until he meets the idealistic Tim Laughlin (Jonathan Bailey). The two begin a romance just as Joseph McCarthy and Roy Cohn declare war on “subversives and sexual deviants,” initiating one of the darkest periods in 20th-century American history. Over the course of four decades, we follow the pair as they cross paths through the Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, the drug-fueled disco hedonism of the 1970s...

To say that audiences were thrilled to learn of the White Collar revival would be an understatement. With so many reboots, remakes, and revivals of shows falling flat with fans, White Collar viewers seem to trust the team behind this one so much that the news was met with nothing but sheer excitement.
Now that viewers know who's coming back, but have no idea what to expect from the show, they're coming up with more and more ideas and guesses about what the new seasons of White Collar might bring. Here are 8 of the most popular from the r/whitecollar subreddit.
Peter and Neal’s Banter
One of the best things about White Collar was the chemistry between the cast. The banter felt effortless, and viewers hope the same can be accomplished just as easily 10 years from now.

Former USA Network drama “White Collar” was a basic-cable relic before it was added to the Netflix library on April 1, 2024. But like “Suits” before it, another USA drama that found new life when it wound up on Netflix, “White Collar” has since turned up on Nielsen’s Top 10 Streaming Overall (original and acquired series) list — twice.
“White Collar,” a Fox-produced show, has been on Hulu (because Disney’s Fox acquisition closed in 2019) since December 2018. But until Netflix nabbed the co-exclusive rights this spring, the series had never been a factor in streaming. The show, which ran from 2009-2014 on USA Network, was pretty much an afterthought. Just like “Suits.”
But now, like “Suits,” “White Collar” is getting a sequel series.
“We’re gonna reboot. I’m writing the script,” series creator Jeff Eastin said at Variety’s TV FYC Fest. “It’s the original cast.”

While the success of Suits on Netflix might have worked wonderfully in the favor of series creator Aaron Korsh and other members who were a part of the crew, it worked rather well for the makers of another show as well. White Collar, a USA Network show, wrapped up in 2014, leaving fans dejected and wanting more. But it seems like their requests have been finally answered, as a decade after its first culmination, a White Collar reboot might be on the cards.

The success of Suits left Netflix wanting for more. The Gabriel Macht starrer broke streaming records even four years after the last season of the show aired on the USA Network. And Netflix knew they wanted something like it.

So, let’s find out.

There are few television shows where one moment, you can see wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper fully freaked over a poltergeist and the next, catch The Partridge Family‘s Shirley Jones in an ascot mildly put out by a haunted house. Such is the joy of Celebrity Ghost Stories.
One of the show’s many notable qualities is that the celebrities within one episode are strangely matched, like someone tore out pages from a bunch of People magazines from the 1970s and beyond, threw them in the air like confetti, and then picked 3 or 4 celebs at random to group together per episode. This isn’t a criticism — what would the alternative even be, weird theme nights? — but it’s amusingly whiplash-inducing all the same.

There seems to be a lot of excitement about it.”
White Collar certainly isn’t the first old favorite from USA that is looking for a second lease on life.

“And Just Like That” is back on Max for a second season, and it’s bringing some famous — and familiar — faces.
Kim Cattrall confirmed that she will reprise her role of Samantha Jones in an on-camera cameo. Her character communicated with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) via text message throughout the first season, including Mr. Big’s funeral and the Paris finale.
A slim and trim John Corbett will return as Carrie’s former fiance Aidan Shaw as she moves on from the death of her husband.
“Sex and the City” fans will also be thrilled that Candice Bergen will reprise her role as Carrie’s former editor Enid Frick. Julie Halston will also be back as socialite Bitsy Von Muffling, who is as delightful as her name.
Of course, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are back as Charlotte York Goldenblatt and Miranda Hobbes, Carrie’s longtime BFFs.

Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen season 2, episode 10 of the “Sex and the City” reboot, “And Just Like That…”, proceed with caution.
Though actor Willie Garson died in real life in September 2021 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer, his beloved “Sex and the City” character, Stanford Blatch, is alive and well on “And Just Like That…”.
Garson filmed several episodes of the Max reboot’s first season before his unexpected death, and at the time, the show explained his exit with the character leaving to follow one of his influencer clients to Japan and asking his husband, Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone), for a divorce.
Since then, there have been several references to Stanford — in the season 2 premiere episode, Carrie wears a kimono that she says he sent her — but on Thursday’s episode, Stanny’s storyline seemed to have a clear end note.

And Just Like That… appears to be coming into its own finally. The series, a reboot of the iconic Sex and the City, premiered in December 2021 to mixed reviews. Season 2 is recapturing some of the magic of the original series, with episode 3 of season 2 receiving largely positive reviews from fans. Viewers largely loved seeing Carrie return to her roots, reading to the fanbase, this time in the form of an audiobook recording. Seema, Charlotte, and Ltw brought a bit of light and fun into the episode. Still, there is one aspect of the reboot that fans aren’t loving.
Che Diaz, the non-binary comedian that Miranda Hobbes is now sort-of dating, is still disliked by viewers. Episode 3, titled “Chapter Three,” did little to shore up their image. And Just Like That… may have gained three new characters, but they also lost three important ones, all for different reasons. Chris Noth’s Mr. Big was killed off in the first episode, while Kim Cattrall was not asked to reprise her role as Samantha Jones (she’ll appear briefly in season 2). Stanford Blatch, played by the late Willie Garson, appeared in the first few episodes of the series before Garson became too ill to film. And Just Like That… opted to keep Stanford alive, despite Garson’s death. Now, the series pays homage to the beloved actor and character in season 2.

Sarah Jessica Parker found the perfect way to celebrate 25 years of “Sex and the City”.
The actress — who plays columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the much-loved show, as well as the spinoff “And Just Like That…” — recreated multiple moments from the series for Vogue’s new digital cover and accompanying YouTube and social media clips.
One key moment they recreated was that passing city bus and the puddle scene from the opening credits — but, this time it didn’t splash Parker and it had her Vogue cover on the sign, instead of her column.

Sept. 21, 2021, was a sad day for "Sex and the City" fans when we learned of Willie Garson's (who played talent agent Stanford Blatch) death. Garson died of a short illness after suffering from a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57 years old.
Knowing that the actor reprised his role in the reboot series, "And Just Like That," fans wondered how his story would play out since his death occurred while the show was still filming.
The good news is Stanford does appear in the first three episodes of the reboot's first season, but those are the only times he physically shows up. However, his character still lives on in the revival through subtle mentions.
Read ahead for everything we know about Stanford's "And Just Like That" appearances.

Spoilers ahead! If you haven’t seen the season 2 premiere of “And Just Like That” on Max, proceed with caution.
Though there was little to no mention of Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) in the season 2 premiere of “And Just Like That”, another one of Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) missing besties does get a special shout-out.
Max released the first two episodes of season 2 of the “Sex and the City” spinoff series, and in the premiere, Carrie and Co. head to the Met Gala. While she’s waiting for dress alterations, Carrie is complimented on her beautiful silk kimono, and she replies, “Oh, thank you, my friend, Stanford, sent it to me from Japan.”

Before becoming an Oscar-winning mega-star, Bradley Cooper was just another struggling actor in search of role in New York City.
Cooper’s first-ever screen credit, in fact, was playing a guy named Jake who makes a botched attempt to woo Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw in a 1999 episode of “Sex and the City”.
In the scene, Carrie and bestie Stanford Blatch (the late Willie Garson) are out on a drunken bender. After Stanford bails, she winds up drunkenly dancing with an equally intoxicated guy, played by Cooper, who asks if she wants to take a ride in his sports car. She agrees, only to walk home by herself when he stops for cigarettes and a glimpse of a wildly unflattering photo of herself on a magazine cover sobers her up.

Kim Cattrall is officially returning for a cameo in Max's "Sex and the City" revival, "And Just Like That," but it sounds like things are still tense between the star and some of her costars. Rumors about a feud between Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker have swirled for years, and in a June 9 interview with The Telegraph, fellow "Sex and the City" star Kristin Davis did little to lay those rumors to rest. "You have to respect people's wishes. I'm not gonna waste energy on it," she told the outlet about the "And Just Like That" cast's relationship with Cattrall. Davis also noted that none of the show's lead cast members are still in touch with Cattrall.

Justin Theroux has no love for his former “Sex and the City” character, Jared.
In honour of the show’s 25th anniversary, Vanity Fair posed the question of “Who was the worst man on ‘Sex and the City’?” via Instagram. The comments rolled in fast and furious, with several celebrities offering their opinions in the comments. Hilariously, Theroux roasted himself by commenting “Jared,” a bit part he played in the show’s first season.
Fans may remember Jared as an up-and-coming author who has a brief interaction with Sarah Jessica Parker‘s Carrie Bradshaw. In his quick scene, Jared appears as a decidedly uncool friend of Stanford (Willie Garson) who is apparently named among New York Magazine‘s “30 Coolest People Under 30.” He brags about his book and urges Carrie to write about him in her column — and is never seen again.

Billy Eichner is honoring the cultural impact of “Sex and the City” on the queer community.
To mark the 25th anniversary of the “Satc” premiere, Eichner spoke with People magazine about the impact of seeing real gay bars onscreen in the New York City-based HBO series.

Last year, Entertainment Tonight reported that Parker confirmed Corbett would be coming back to the Sex and the City sequel for the second season.
HBO Max’s And Just Like That has Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis reprising their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York, respectively, from the beloved series, Sex and the City, which ran from 1998 to 2004. The sequel, created by Michael Patrick King and Darren Star, follows the trio as they go from navigating life and relationships in their 30s to now in their 50s.

Anthony Anderson presented Legend and the segment, saying, “It never feels like the right time to say goodbye to a loved one, a friend or a cherished icon.”
He added. “To quote Shakespeare, ‘All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players, they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts.’ As we acknowledge the legends within our industry will pass on, we celebrate all that they created and shared with the world. May they rest in peace and power.”

Our list below includes almost 100 people who made a strong contribution to television and have died since mid-September of 2021 following the previous Emmys ceremony. Only about 40-45 of these people will probably be in the video segment. Certain to be featured will be TV Academy Hall of Fame members actress Betty White and director Jay Sandrich.Other prominent names almost certainly chosen are: Mary Alice (acting winner), Louie Anderson (acting winner), James Caan (acting nominee), Anne Heche (acting winner), Howard Hesseman (acting nominee), William Hurt (acting nominee), Gregory Itzin (acting nominee), Ray Liotta (acting winner), Burt Metcalfe...

The Oscars In Memoriam segment gave viewers a chance to remember the memorable names in film who died over the past year. But every year, viewers are surprised to see that a few recognizable names were omitted.
Beloved comedian Bob Saget, who had a small handful of film appearances in movies including Richard Pryor’s “Critical Condition,” drew the most outrage on social media. However, Saget did win a student Oscar for his 1977 documentary “Through Adam’s Eyes.”
Norm Macdonald was also left out of the segment. Like Saget, Macdonald is best known for his TV roles, but also appeared in a handful of movies, including “Dr. Dolittle,” “Grown Ups,” “Billy Madison” and “Back to Norm.”
Most of the others mentioned as omissions were principally known for their appearances on television, not film.
