Step 1 – Explore

Whatever changes you have in mind for your kitchen, IKEA is the perfect place to start. Browsing around and dreaming a little helps your ideas take shape. Add your needs and what your ideal kitchen looks like and you’re on your way. What colour scheme would suit your home? Open or closed storage? Would you prefer a classic style or are you more of a modern type? Perhaps a bit of both?

Step 2 – Measure

It’s very important to get all measurements right as this will form the foundation of all your planning. A convenient solution is to book our kitchen measuring service, but you can also do it yourself. To see exactly what to measure, pick up a copy of the IKEA kitchen planning guide at your IKEA store, or click below to read it online.

Step 3 – Plan and design

Take your time when planning to make sure you end up with the kitchen you really want. Think about how you normally use your kitchen and what feels comfortable for you. Look at your existing kitchen and make a list of things you like and what you’d want to change.

Some of our kitchens have online planner tools so you can try out your plans right away. But you can also count on the IKEA kitchen planning service. Our kitchen experts are available to help you both remotely and in-store.

Step 4 – Purchase

When you’re satisfied with your design, visit your local IKEA store or book an online appointment with one of our kitchen experts. They will go over your kitchen plan with you, answer any questions you might have, and help arrange the delivery of your new kitchen.
