A story-rich action-adventure focused on the wonder of childhood escapism, players will spend hours upon hours with the vibrant, colorful cast of The Wild at Heart. Battling wildlife alongside swarms of friendly creatures, you’ll meet multiple characters throughout this adventure. Let’s take a little time to look at just a few of the characters you might encounter on your journey…
Wake
Wake is The Wild at Heart’s protagonist, a 12-year-old boy from the coastal town of Willowvale. A brilliant engineer, we join him as he enacts “The Plan”; to run away from home, and build a treehouse in the wilderness behind his house.
Kirby
While Wake may be a brilliant engineer, he probably wouldn’t have crafted as brilliant a plan without his neighbor and friend Kirby. The real brains behind “The Plan”, Kirby possesses expert tracking skills and a distinct lack of fear. Like Wake, Kirby seeks adventures beyond the life she’s always known.
Enveloped in a strange and wonderful new world, Wake and Kirby soon find themselves among the Greenshields – the creatures and characters inhabiting this unrecognizable land.
Grey Coat
De-facto leader of the Greenshields Willowvale Chapter, Grey Coat is a talented and seemingly ancient magician, with vast knowledge of all things arcane. The most distinct thing about Grey Coat is his magical wooden arm and his over-use of the word “probably”.
Scrap Heap
Scrap Heap shares a mutual affinity for engineering and tinkering with Wake, ensuring they’ll quickly become fast friends. Scrap Heap holds a position as Master Tinkerer of the Willowvale Deep Woods.
Crow’s Nest
Next up, we have Crow’s Nest; a kind and skilled alchemist running a small shop filled with trinkets and treasures ideal for helping players with their crafting. Crow’s Nest is the first port of call for those wishing to learn more about the more…interesting aspects of the Dark Woods.
Paper Planes
A figure shrouded in mystery, very little is known about Paper Planes’ past, other than the fact that he creates magical paper planes that the Greenshields use to communicate with other chapters of their order. Paper Planes also offers detailed maps of the numerous regions players will find within the Deep Woods.
Litterbox
While Greenshields may avoid Litterbox due to her odor, her feline friends don’t seem to notice! Players will find her sending cats on fetch missions throughout the Deep Woods, so don’t be too alarmed if you spot some whiskers on your walks into the woods!
There are many many other characters and creatures for players to meet in The Wild at Heart, but we’ll leave plenty of them for you to discover for yourself!
