It doesn’t matter who you are: Having the proper supportive tennis shoes can prevent balance issues and foot problems later in life. For those flat-footed runners and walkers looking to foot-proof their futures, Asics’ Gel-Kayano 30s are what several reviewers say are extremely comfortable and cushioned, and what one person calls the “most comfortable shoes I have ever had” for their “soft, cushy feel insides” — and they’re at a rare discount right now on Amazon. Typically $159.95, the Gel-Kayano 30 is now up to 38% off, making its price start at just $99.99. This rare discount also matches what Asics is currently running on its official website right now.

These shoes sport a stretchy knit upper for flexibility and breathability, an external heel counter to keep the foot in place and have plenty of lightweight cushioning for softer impact and landings. Reviewers love the Gel-Kayano 30 for its flat foot-friendly midsoles, while others say they have a naturally wide toe box for a roomy fit.

“I’ve been running on Gel Kayanos for more than 10 years and this model is by far the most comfortable at impact,” says Felix R. “The way these handle impact and provide stability is unlike any previous generation of Gel Kayanos. Highly recommend the Gel Kayano 30.”

“I have flat feet, and ASICS seem to work best in providing support,” said Mickey Ricketts. “Usually I still have insert to put in to help with my low arches and support, but this shoe is so good on its own I don’t need the insert.”

This discount won’t last long, so hurry up and grab a pair from Amazon before stock sells out. Be sure to check the entire list of Gel-Kayano models on sale at Asics’s website, too.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. Soft, cushy feel inside. These are the best for treadmill and outside jogging. I was using inappropriate tennis shoes, and experienced heel spurs and gout. These are the best shoes to continue running, while providing care and comfort to your feet in the process of healing. Asics was one of the brands my doctor recommended as well. Order a half size up, because they run a little small. I would get the wide as well if you feet are normal to wide. I usually wear a 9, but got a 9.5 wide. They fit perfectly now. My feet feel flat in the shoe, and my running posture is better. Love them!” — Kevin

The best, most comfortable shoes I’ve ever purchased. No break in period, started off on a short 2 mile stint, meant my expectations, way, way beyond anything I thought it would be. Thinking about getting another pair to save when this pair gives out. The one specification I like seeing written about by the manufacturer is the pronation: I’m flat footed and most running shoes are uncomfortable for me (something I notice right away when I first try a pair on). I thought I was standing on clouds the first time I tried this pair on. Could not recommend more.” — David

This is a comfortable supportive running/walking shoe for over pronators! Stable shoe and great color way choices! Would definitely purchase again.” — Amazon Customer

Some of the most comfortable walking/running shoes I have bought. I have flat feet and ASICS seem to work best in providing support. Usually I still have insert to put in to help with my low arches and support, but this shoe is so good on its own I don’t need the 3 party insert. Definitely looking to get another pair soon to have a couple to rotate through.” — Mickey Ricketts

“I have been running on Asics Kayano shoes for years and last pair was 2-3 years old. I have been running for many years and cushioning is my first priority to preserve my knees and hips. These are noticeably better than any prior version. Still have the firm heel to prevent lateral movement and wide boxy toe area. As far as size, I have always used 12.5 and although some comments were to size up, this fit me perfectly well.” — RAF

“Beautiful looking shoe. Completely redesigned from top to bottom. Super soft foam with plenty of stack. This is a 5 star rated shoe that gets a 4 star for my personal use only because I have out grown / out run the need for a stability shoe. I have always been on the borderline of neutral vs stability (Nimbus vs Kayano). Difference now is I run almost exclusively outdoors (treadmill at gym for inclement weather and speedwork only) which was strengthened by feet. In the past it was the opposite. I was exclusively a treadmill runner so the few times I ran outside warranted a stability shoe. I would feel the soreness in my arches sometimes. But when running in these, I didn’t get that nice pillowed feel of the Nimbus (I know its a different shoe with different design goals). Instead my knees were sore because the shoe did not allow me to roll through my natural gait. Never had those feeling with neutral shoes and its a first with the Kayano. The support is there in spades and its supper soft. Much better than the Bondi 8 which I feel is too stiff. If you need the support for your arches BUY IT! If not then the Nimbus is a better buy.” — Bernard A. Johnson Jr.
