It's summertime, meaning it's nearly impossible to scroll social without feeling inspired to get outside and plant your own peonies and fresh herbs this season. One gardener growing a fandom—and flowering shrubs—is sharing his budding knowledge with football fans and Y2K lovers alike. That's right: David Beckham is continuously finding new ways to charm us, and his latest (successful) attempt is through his garden.

The other day, the retired footballer posted a series of videos to Instagram filmed by his wife, Victoria Beckham, showing the process of him planting a Queen of Sweden—a beautiful shrub with large, pale pink blooms that smell slightly of myrrh—by a wooden fence on their property. However, a barefoot Beckham was very obviously struggling with removing the shrub from the plastic planter it came in, and his comments were (surprisingly) filled with helpful tips on how to remove the plant best next time.

Well, Beckham proved that he does, in fact, read his comment section, because he posted another video to Instagram and TikTok sharing his newfound gardening knowledge. After the "slightly amateur" way of planting his first Queen of Sweden—his words, not ours—Beckham removed another plant with ease from its plastic holding cell by repeatedly tapping on all sides of the container. By doing this, he loosened the dirt stuck to the plastic walls, allowing him to grab the base of the plant near the potting soil and pull it out with everything still intact. "Who knew it was so easy to get the Queen of Sweden out the box?" Beckham said before thanking his fans.

The comments on this video are just as supportive if not more so, than the one before, with one person writing, "David Beckham giving gardening tips on my FYP was not on my bingo card card but I’m so glad I’m here 🥹🥹🥹."

Others are still giving kind advice to the Brit, with one person adding, "roots looking a tad dry, I would have soaked the pot in a bucket of rainwater for an hour before planting. ensure daily watering until established. remember to feed and deadhead spent blooms.❤️🌹" Many others in his comments mirror that sentiment.

It's so heartwarming to see a comment section that's more supportive than hateful. Toward the end of the video, Beckham adds, "Thank you everyone. Isn't it always nice to be kind?" We couldn't agree more.
