If you love swooning over historic brownstones, and are on Instagram, you probably already love Barry and Jordan—better known as the Brownstone Boys. In addition to an impressive amount of historic renovations under their belts, the two have just made House Beautiful history as the first design couple to propose during an episode of "My Better Half."

After racking up points knowing each other's drinks of choice (For Jordan, a margarita), favorite way to spend a Saturday night (some bedtimes are stricter than others), and who is more brutally honest with clients (definitely Barry!), Jordan snuck in a surprise secret question...asking Barry to be his husband!

Jordan and Barry had their first date at The Crown Inn in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, and, barring a brief freak out from Barry (“things were moving fast!”), the pair have been inseparable ever since.

In 2018, just six months after they started dating, the couple bought a 130-year-old brownstone in the heart of Brooklyn—launching the eponymous blog and Instagram account the very same day. Within a year, flipping brownstones became their full-time job. Now, they run a successful project management design service serving clients throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The couple's innate ability to breathe life into dilapidated spaces, while honoring their historical significance, has turned heads and earned them a well-deserved place among the top tier of restoration professionals in New York. Plus, they’re super fun to follow.
