Most Scandinavian
The Twillery Co. Six-Piece Village Set
This minimalist Christmas village set is one of our favorites. It has that Scandinavian vibe—the sh.arp lines, lack of unnecessary ornamentation, and earthy hues—that we love, but it's contemporary in all the right ways. We will admit that it's on the larger side, so if you don't have a lot of space, this may not be the village for you. Otherwise, feel free to split up the buildings, making two three-building villages.
Best Lights
Mark Feldstein & Associates Silver Rooftopped Village
While most small villages tend to quiet down once the sun sets, others come to life. Case in point: this one, which is just as precious during the daytime as it is at night. Consisting of five buildings—four houses and a church—this is easily one of the sweetest we've seen. Of course, the flocked trees don't hurt one bit.
Best House
Darshion Christmas Village Houses Set Decorations
Technically, this isn't a village, but it's so stinkin' cute that we couldn't resist adding it to the list. From the snow-covered roof to the detailed wreath hanging on the front door, this well-lit property deserves its time to quite literally shine. If you want to go all out, pair it with some of the other accessories in the collection, including an old-school van with an evergreen strapped to the roof and a fleet of flying reindeer.

Best for Outdoors
West Elm Ceramic Tealight Village Set
This set comprises small, medium, and large evergreens; and small, medium, and large house—all of which are crafted from vanilla-hued ceramic. The best part? They're suitable for outdoor use, so if you want to add a festive touch to your front porch, this will certainly get the job done.
Most Traditional
Spode Village Shoppes
When we think of a traditional Christmas village, something like this comes to mind. Sadly, each structure is sold separately, but they're all on sale, so you can customize your village while on a budget. There are way more options that the four pictured here, so peruse Spode on Wayfair and create your own winter wonderland now.
Best Colors
Cody Foster & Co. Downtown Tea Room
If the details on this old-fashioned tea room appear a bit too real, that's because this charming locale is decorated by hand—even the pooch outside. Like several other options on our list, this one isn't sold in a set, which affords you the opportunity to customize your village with whichever colorful pieces Cody Foster & Co. sells. We recommend the Victorian house and the bright pink hotel.

Most Simple
Pottery Barn Handmade Christmas Village
Another handmade collection that's sold à la carte is this Pottery Barn line that looks like it's coated in a thick layer of vanilla frosting. Unfortunately, that's just paint, so it wont taste nearly as good as it looks. Each one is hollow, so feel free to pop in a tea light and enjoy the warm glow that fills the windows.
Most Delicious
Mark Feldstein & Associates Gingerbread Village Set
At first glance, these faux gingerbread houses are identical, but upon closer inspection, you'll notice that each one is actually quite unique. Yes, they may all feature red doors and snow-covered roofs, but they also feature details that differentiate them from one another, much like the homes in a real neighborhood. Plus, they look so delicious.
Most Classic
Eease Four-Piece Christmas Village Set
If this doesn't give you Cotswolds vibes, we don't know what will. Each of these charming structures utilizes glitter in some way, making them feel right for the holidays in pretty much every way.

Lemax Victorian Skaters
Whether you enjoy this on its own or make it the centerpiece of a growing Christmas village, this Victorian-inspired ice rink is one of our favorites. Did we mention that it's battery operated? That's right; the skaters actually glide around the frozen pond. Complete your village with more than 40 buildings and scenes from Lemax on Amazon. We're pretty enthused with the cafe and Christmas shop.

Grandin Road Village Decor Homes
With only three styles left—the one on the far left and the two on the right—Grandin Road's village homes are selling out fast. Grab yours before they're gone for good. The back of each one is totally open, so the option to light them from within is there.
Most Musical
Best Pysanky Whirling Ferris Wheel Village
This ferris wheel is like the skating rink in that you don't see it often. Unlike the rink, though, the ferris wheel features a wind up feature on the bottom that slowly spins it and plays "We Wish you a Merry Christmas." How's that for festive?

Balsam Hill Christmas Mantel Village
There's no need to stress about the placement of the buildings in your village because the ones here are mounted in place to a decorative wooden plank. All you have to do is simply pop the unit on your mantel and call it a day.
Best Overall
Balsam Hill Lit Wooden Christmas Olde Town
This may look similar to the previous one, which is also from Balsam Hill, but with one major difference: these buildings are freestanding and can be arranged in any which way. So feel free to leave them in a line, as pictured, or create your own makeshift hill and create a sweet town in a countryside setting.
Most DIY-Friendly
Nezyo DIY Christmas Village Set
This 21-piece set is for the DIY lovers. The whole thing arrives unassembled in the form of flat pieces of white cardboard. That said, it's not nearly as hard to put together as we're making it seem. The cardboard is pre-cut and each piece slides or snaps into place, so as long as you're paying attention to what goes where, you can get this up and running in a matter of minutes.

Most Moody
Wind & Weather Christmas Village
This is another Christmas village that totally eliminates the need to become a city planner. All of the buildings, trees, and structures are pre-placed on a midnight blue platform, which is also decorated with buildings and trees. As you can see, it lights up, but what you can't gauge from the photo is that it also plays a soft melody to totally set the mood.
