There are so many things to love about Christmastime, but we think we've discovered the very best aspect of the season. Your personal favorite festivity might be exchanging gifts with family, attending jolly holiday parties, or watching all 42 new Hallmark Christmas movies. However, none of those activities would truly be festive if it weren't for what we consider the best part of the holiday: decorating for Christmas. Without the garlands, the string lights, and the tree, the spirit of the season would definitely be lacking. The unfortunate truth about festive decorating, though, is the costs can quickly add up if you haven't been stockpiling decor for decades. That's where fun and easy DIY decorations, specifically ones crafted from relatively inexpensive materials, come in. If it's in your budget to create wooden candleholders, more power to you, but if the cost of gifts has been steadily rising, consider making paper Christmas decorations this year.

With the sun setting earlier and that wonderful seasonal depression kicking in, it's easy to resort to sinking down into your couch and scrolling on your phone as the evening draws on. Getting crafty is a great way to fill the time at home as the holiday inches closer, and it can be fun for the whole family. Plus, if you have little ones around who need busy hands, give them a couple of DIYs to do, and that part of the holiday is covered. Keep reading to browse our list of festive and beautiful paper Christmas decorations that you'll want to recreate year after year.
