Serena Williams's Former Home Just Hit the Market for $13.5 Million
The Mediterranean-meets-modern mansion is designed for a champion.
With four Olympic gold medals and 23 Grand Slam singles titles, Serena Williams is not only one of the most decorated athletes, but some would also argue she's the greatest of all time. So it's only fitting that her long-time home—a 6,101-square-foot Mediterranean residence she owned from 2006 to 2019—is designed for a sports legend.
However, just because it's been a minute since Williams has called this property home doesn't mean it's lost any star power: The home is currently owned by designer Rodrigo Vargas, who put his sleek touch on the space. According to Louis DeLaura and Ernie Stone, who are listing the property with Sotheby's International Realty's Beverly Hills Brokerage for a massive $13.5 million, Vargas revamped the interior design and surrounding yards. The result? A home where old-world charm is mixed with a cool, modern edge. If the tall ceiling, sun-drenched windows, and lush landscaping aren't enough to make you swoon, amenities like a private library and pristine pool will. At $13.5 million, this home might be a smidge outside of our budgets—but that doesn't mean you can't window shop. Read on for an inside look at this athlete-approved abode.
