Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Moscow on July 8. This is PM Modi’s first Russia visit since Ukraine and also his first bilateral trip since retaining power last month. Putin called PM Modi his “best friend” and shared a warm hug. PM Modi appreciated the Russian President for organising an informal meeting and inviting him to his residence.
